ZeroClaw — Rust, 3.4MB binary, under 10ms startup, under 5MB idle RAM. For anywhere Node is too heavy.

PicoClaw — Go binary, runs on $10 hardware. IoT and edge. 29,400 stars. If your agent needs to live on a Raspberry Pi, this is the one.

nanobot — Python, ~4,000 lines, 44,100 stars. MCP tools and persistent memory. Small enough to read and modify in an afternoon.

if the problem is security

NVIDIA NemoClaw + OpenShell — runs agents inside a hardened sandbox with kernel-level lockdown: seccomp filters syscalls, Landlock LSM limits filesystem access, network namespaces isolate traffic. Unauthorized outbound requests get blocked and surfaced in a TUI for manual approval.
