Tilly Norwood — the AI actor that made every Hollywood union lose their mind — just got cast in a coming-of-age film. She has no body and no childhood. The movie is called Misaligned.

SAG-AFTRA called her “a character generated by a computer program trained on the work of countless professional performers — without permission or compensation.” Particle 6 heard that, nodded, and turned it into a logline. Misaligned follows an AI being with “only access to everyone else’s experience” — set in the “Tillyverse,” a surreal digital world in the cloud. The announcement came roughly eight months after she nearly signed with a talent agency and ignited what the trades called “major industry backlash.”

They didn’t survive the outrage. They IP’d it.

Misaligned is also what AI safety researchers call an AI pursuing the wrong goals.
